Day #5: Farm Life, Go Carts, & the Drive-In Movies

As you can see from the title, yesterday was a busy day! We went to the Tuttles's, some friends of our friends the Tuckers. (Complicated, huh?) They have a beautiful farm! I milked a goat, rode a horse for an hour, and took tons of pictures. They have a really gorgeous pool, but there wasn't enough time for me to swim in it. I rode horses instead...haha. The goats were somewhat smelly, (duh) but kind of cute in a lopsided way. After we went horseback riding on some trails. Now trails in Midland are not trails winding through tall trees and bubbling rivers; HA, it's through cacti, scrubrush, and red sand. Pretty cool, but not what comes to mind when you hear the word trail. After a hot dog lunch, we went to the go cart place. My first cart was kind of a dud. And I wasn't sure if it was me or the cart. It was the cart. My second one was supposed to be the fast one, but I kept feeling like I was going to tip over, so I went slower. But seriously, tip over? They're so low to the ground. I'm such a worrywart. We came home  and relaxed, then went out to eat at Jason's Deli. I got my usual: chicken ceasar salad & a root beer. Then off we went to the drive-in movies. I don't have any pictures of that or Jason's Deli, but I wish I had thought to grab a few pictures of the huge screen. It's 100 ft. tall! So when we got there, I was like, "How does this work? Where does the sound come from?" I've never been to a drive-in before. But you tune your radio to a certain station, ours was 95.3 fm, and that's where the sound comes from! Neat, huh? And for $6 you get 2 movies! We saw Kung Fu Panda 2, and Thor played afterwards. I really would have wanted to see it, but we didn't stay to watch it-since we were all exhausted. (We've been staying until midnight almost every night.) Anyway, here's all the pics. I was using the fancy camera again, but for some reason the quality is not good at all when they're uploaded to blogger. Ah well, have fun!

The goat, Anna...

A random picture of my feet...haha

I loved this spot! It definitely called for a personal picture. Even though I stink at posing!

Salin, Addy, Britainyah, and Anna

Girls again!

Salin on Star

Elisha on Cimarron

Lol! You can't see, but there is an indignant look on her face.

The bench I sat on. I can definitely see some gorgeous senior pictures happening here!

They had peacocks!

It was delicious! Ahh...

Isn't that the tallest pepper grinder you've seen? The salt grinder isn't exactly small either. And I love the Eiffel Tower olive oil holder!

Ethan and Sarah...

Kids & horses

Isn't this a great picture?  Dad's so intense! And Sarah's streaming hair is hilarious!

The stoplight... (duh)

Waiting for go carts...

Brit's face under the mist. Ha

I love this picture too! The objects in focus are way clearer on my computer or on the camera. Blogger somehow messes them up. :/

Somebody obviously thought something else was more interesting than their picture being taken. Hehe

Day #4: The Graduation Party

Today, we had a graduation party for my friend, Robert. It was tiring! But a lot of fun! I got up and ate, then started decorating. The whole house was splashed in black & silver decor with some gold. Can you say amazing?? I was the decor designer, food placement & arrangement personnel, photographer, and smooth coordinator. Haha, you can tell by the quality of the pictures that somebody else let me borrow their camera. Mr. Terry let me borrow his Canon Rebel T1i to take photos with. Ahhh! Of course I jumped at the opportunity. Why is it that needs such as cars come in the way of beautiful wants such as Canon Rebel cameras? There's a lot of photos this time, but hey, who says you can have too many pics??

Garage where all the food was...

Green tea, cheesecake, & cake!

Cake, cheese, & veggies.

I like the thing in the middle...

Here are some of the decorations. I just grabbed a shot of the hanging graduation cap... :-)

This photo wasn't blurry when I took it, but somehow it is when I upload it to blogger.

Tray with all of the graduation cards...

Breakfast table centerpiece...

Alas! Another photo that becomes blurry when I upload it to blogger.

Britainyah!

Okay. This thing was supposed to cover a door, or as the package put it, "Tastefully cover your door in a creative, artistic way for your graduate." We got it out, and I was like, "This is a TENT, not a door cover!" Thing was HUGE! So we just tacked it to the side, haha.

This is kind of a goofy picture of me, but hey, it's the ONLY picture of me! When you are the photographer, your picture doesn't get taken. Lol...

Sarah and a friend...

Zach just because he's cute.

The boys lining up to play soldier? battle? All I know is that there was a dispute as to whether one kid was a private first-class or private second-class. He wanted to be second-class. Ha. Oh! And then....(hahahaha), the leader said, "BUTT-FACE!" One kid looked at him and said, "Huh?"
The leader said, "BUTT FACE! It means turn around...."

Okay, I made this huge deal about the quality of the pictures...but some of them are kind of blurry. I'm not quite sure why, because they're beautiful *not* on blogger. You'll just have to take my word for it. Haha.

Day #3: Park Hopping and Relaxing

Today, we went "park hopping." We visited various parks, rated them on how much we liked them, then hopped to the next park. Lol! We visited the Handicapped Park, Dennis the Menace Park, and the "New" Park.  And it was HOT. In MS it's like a blanket of humidity: suffocating. In west TX it's more windy-and in a word: DRY. It's a different kind of heat. Takes some getting used to! My lips constantly feel like they're going to split! Hehe, well here are the pictures of the 3 different parks.
