Ok, so Friday was the first time I've been black Friday shopping IN MY LIFE. --that I remember...(Maybe when I was a baby, but that doesn't count.) Of course, on the drive down to the mall, the horror stories of last year were running through my mind: WALMART EMPLOYEE TRAMPLED BY ANGRY MASSES. WOMAN STABS WOMAN OVER JIMMY CHOO PUMPS. Heaven help us. Lady, if you're going to to stab somebody, please don't do it over something as ugly as those Jimmy Choo pumps. Now if it was a chic Vera Bradley tote..wellll..haha just kidding.
But, the mall was hardly crowded at all. Definitely more than it would normally be, but not at all what you would expect on a black Friday...crazy huh? And just when I had brought my helmet, shoulder pads, pepper spray, and taser gun. HA.
Oh, and here I go with Aeropostale. I love your stuff, but why oh why is it impossible for you to have good sales? Sure you give out 20% off coupons once in a blue moon, but they exclude markdowns!! What's that? You have sales all the time? Lemme tell you something, 30% off of $90 is NOT a sale. I'm not paying that for a t-shirt jus' cuz your name is doodled all over the front. JCPenney's coupons don't exclude markdowns, they have SALES, and you don't have to spend over $50 to get $5 off. *Sarcastic whoops* I forgot, you're Aeropostale....hehe

The Wedding & More
Wow! What a hectic week it's been! Friday, I got to go to a friend's wedding! It was awesome--the whole theme was Renaissance styled. The decor was pretty amazing. There was cider, cheesecake, and these great little keish thingys.
The funniest thing was that on the one table where there were crackers and rolls, there were these triangular wedges of cheeses, ok? Well..my friend and I wondered for a fleeting moment whether or not this was some cheesecake. (The plain kind looked JUST like the New York styled cheesecake soo you can see why we thought that.) haha...But we quickly decided it wasn't. Yet on our way to sit down, we heard this guy say, "This is the absolute worst cheesecake I've ever eaten." He had. ONE. HUGE. TRIANGULAR. WEDGE. of cheese on his plate. HAH. HAH. It was so hilarious..ok I'm done.
Weddings are really great when everybody is there. Especially those you haven't seen in f.o.r.e.v.e.r. I hope to post pics soon!
That night, I also got to sleep over at my great friend, Andrea's. ;D Talk about PARTY!! haha..
I'm really looking forward to this week! My awesome economics teacher gave us NO homework. I needed a break and appreciate it sooo much times 67594839. Lol.. ;] We have a ton of cleaning to do to get ready for grandparents tomorrow.
Now my only wish is that it were colder......

I am SUCH a Computer Genius.
Haha. Ok maybe I'm not a computer whiz. But I have to admit, I'm prettyyy goood at figuring stuff out. So today, I was researching for this project I have to do. Bing (Windows Live Search) is my search engine. There were some images for whatever I had typed in-I think I may have made some typos. (WARNING: Don't ever view images off of Bing as most of them lead to sub-standard sites. You should be careful even with Yahoo and Googles images.) Anyhoo, you can probably tell where this is going...I accidentally hit one of the images. AANNNNDDD.....BAM!
ha. Just kidding. Nothing went wrong. But...ok, so curiosity killed the cat, and there was this pic on the sidebar of a super weird animal, I thought, "Oh wait. I'll look at this and then go back to my search results." So I clicked it, and like 2 seconds (maybe?) went by and all of the sudden this SUPER SCARY thing popped up like the grim reaper saying, "WARNING!! YOU HAVE 8 TROJANS. 6 SPYWARE. 40 TRACKING COOKIES. 2 ADWARE." (In a literal translation, it was saying: "Here's your slow and painful death. Get ready to watch yourself die."
It was another security program called "Security Tool." It looks like this:

All glittery and gorgeous, huh? It kept wanting to remove all these dangerous malware with "their" program. I panicked at first at all the warnings, but then became instantly suspicious. I already have a security program: Webroot. And I know that may not make a difference, but why was this "super helpful" program helping me? It's like being in the grocery store, and something trips you; but when you look up, this "really helpful" guy is handing you your purse. Make you wonder if he's the one who tripped you in the first place to get all cozy with your wallet...right?
I followed the steps to where the "Security Tool" would "supposedly" get rid of the viruses. It took me to a page asking for what....?? MOOONEEEYYY. Ha. Ha. I'm not thaat dumb. "You REALLY REALLY need to pay us $90 to remove all this stuff that we infected your computer with." How can I put this nicely? GO. FALL. IN. A. DEEP. HOLE. -preferably a bottomless hole.
So I went online to research this thing, and it turns out, it is a "rogue" scammer/parasite program in close relation with a real trojan. It can update by itself and install spyware by itself. It is almost COMPLETELY undetectable by your antivirus program. It's created to steal passwords, credit/debit card #s, and other info through your browsers. But all the files that it's saying are infected are really real Windows files, if you delete them, you're deleting your perfectly "clean" stuff. It has a very close family. They same creeps that brought us Total Security 2009, Sytem Security, and Internet Security 2011 brought us Security Tool. BEWARE. They are ALL malware programs. And as if it couldn't get any worse, anytime I'd try to open my regular security programs, I'd get a message saying that they were "threats," because they were a worms trying to send my credit card details to a remote host. Stupid virus. As if I have a credit card....HA!
That's basically the virus trying to protect itself against potential threats. It won't let task manager come up because you could end it there. It wouldn't even let iTunes or most other programs pop up. It basically holds the computer and all of its programs ransom until you pay it the $90.
You get multiple warnings over and over and over from Windows, who turns traitor to make Security Tool look legit. It basically gets confused and thinks that Security Tool is a true help.
There are other SUPER ANNOYING warnings that pop up literally every 7 seconds to pressure you into throwing your money into cyberspace. Security Tool comes under many different names on the temporary files on your hard drive, such as file://appsdata...exe/ or C:\\Userprofile.....exe. (They normally end in exe. but are very complex and no 2 are alike.) If you happen to find it though (and you're sure it's it), rename it whatever corny name you'd like and restart the computer. This makes it so that way it can't find itself when your computer restarts. It won't be able to launch and VOILA! You can start your antivirus program, do a complete scan, and get rid of it! (SUPER AntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware are the best FREE programs to do this job. Download them online.)
If you find the Security Tool icon on the list with your hard drive files...it's just that much easier to find, but it will have some weird code name like 87945729 or 36441 if you mouse over it. CREEPY!
I was able to enter into my computer in safe mode with networking (it halts the virus) and use system restore to go "back in time" and fix it. OOOOH YEAAH. Lemme tell you, "Walkin' On Sunshine" was playing in the background the ENTIRE time.
There are a lot of different ways, but that was the easiest. Oh, and by the way, sitesecuritytest.com is a fake online scan. You can have a nice little reunion with all of Security Tool's family if you decide to visit. ;] hehe
So if you ever get it, or any almost any virus for that matter...ask me, as I am now a computer genius. Just kidding.
Isn't it crazy? I got it from the internet, and I got all the info on to fix it FROM the internet....It's like taking a great picture and deleting it. Or turning the air on high, only to turn it back down to be comfortable. Well all's well, that ends well....I suppose. :]

My Blog!
Ok. So I've been wanting a blog for about 6 months now, but I decided to wait until I had more time..hehe. Well, I don't have more time. But I have come to the conclusion that I will never have "more time." It's a lost cause. SOooo I decided to get one anyway! As you can tell I'm new to designing the templates and stuff...so I'm keeping it pretty simple. Any ideas are welcome. Lemme know what you think. :) More interesting posts coming soon.. ;)
