As you can tell from the title, I'm ready for a vacation! Yes, it's pathetic because it's only February. But hey, I can dream, can't I? It seems like the week is over before it even starts! By the time I've gotten all of my homework and other things finished, it's time for it to begin again! I was told that my school/classes load would get easier over the summer, but when I started thinking and adding things up, it's not any easier; in fact, I may have an extra class or two. Haha, nice try though, right?
It's so freaky, because within the past few weeks I have received numerous college offers/pamphlets in the mail.
In my name. Addressed to me. Normally it's addressed to "Current Resident." Only once or twice have they been addressed it to me. But lately I'm swamped, and
this time, they even got my middle initial correct!! I have gotten one every day this week! Today I got one from Spring Hill College, and yesterday it was Champlain College. They always start off in that really scary way,
"Dear Ariel, your high school accomplishments have caught the attention of blah blah College." What "accomplishments??" Rochester Institute of Technology sent me me one, (you can tell they are
really patterning themselves after Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Haha...they even had had "RIT" in big, bold, size 48 font on the pamphlet). Not a bit like MIT, right? Anyway, I've decided I cannot go there because their school colors are absolutely hideous! It's like halloween year round, a total genocide of color.
I was looking at the average SAT scores for different colleges, and the average score of writing at MIT was 680 in writing, 710 in reading, and 756 in math, giving it the overall score of 2146. The highest you can get is a 2400!! And it's not at all uncommon for them to get
perfect math scores. Some people are just freakin' geniuses. I know it's just a number. Just a score. You will still live if you get a 5 on the ACT or a 50 on the SAT. Basically, you will still live even if you fail...of course. But ohmygoodness. Can you imagine if you got a super high score?
And about not going to RIT because of their distasteful school colors? Just kidding. Do you really think I wouldn't go to a school just because the person who put the stuff together was blind? No, of course not. You really shouldn't take things so seriously! ;)
