Okay, June is one of those busy months! There are at least three major things I can think of that happened! One: we finished remodeling our kitchen! Two: I got my wisdom teeth pulled! Three: I completed driving school! And if I remember something else, I will add it to this post! :-)
Okay so first up, the kitchen. We had remodeled back in December when we pushed the eating area out onto the porch and closed it in. It still looks wonderful and there is so much more space! But now, we did some more "beauty stuff". Hehe, we redid the counter tops (granite!!), redid the cabinets (sanded and painted!!), and added a small bar (woo!). It was really hard living without cabinets while they were being worked on. Every time I would go to put something away, I'd have to remember that there was no place to put it! The dining room table was CLUTTER 101. But it was entirely worth the end result, so pretty!

The new stove and oven are pretty neat. The stove is induction, but as nice as that is, it is so persnickety. Very hard to clean and scratches kind of easily.
(Only downside so far.)
Oh! And those scrolls on either side of the oven pull out to be spice racks!! My mom's pretty ingenious, huh?
Okay and for the next thing, I had my wisdom teeth removed! I am kicking myself now, because I do not have any good pictures of my chipmunk cheeks. Haha, although I actually wasn't very swollen. Maybe it was because my roots hadn't grown very deep or hardly at all, but my surgeon was SO fast! He had all four teeth out in fifteen minutes at most! Zee man haz got skillz. I was still swollen, but not near as much as some people. Thank goodness! I was also healed up almost 100% in a week! Again, the benefits of a quick surgeon. I thought it would be an extremely painful, plus a slow recovery, but I was blessed to be well within the next week! Sleep helps. A LOT. Like whatever you're thinking, take that and add 1,000. My pain medication was pretty strong, however. One minute I would be reading, the next I'd wake up hours later with the book on the floor.
The only thing that I didn't like about the procedure was the laughing gas. Eeesh. Okay there were quite a few things I didn't like, but that one sticks out. One minute you are there, the next you're floating, then falling, zooming to the floor. The nurse said most people love it, but not me! I don't like not feeling in control. It was loopy and made me grip the chair to make sure I wasn't falling! Another thing that sticks out is this: don't ever bring a brother or sister with you when your teeth are being pulled. Especially if they are younger. It is beyond me why my mother allowed my sister to come, but every time they would pull a tooth out, and I happened to look up, I would see my sister with a mortified yet disgusted look on her face. Just what I wanted to see. VERRYY REASSURING.
The last big thing of this month was driving school. Yes, that is right. I, Ariyl Onstott, can drive! Don't be scared. I am actually very good. ;-) I miss every red light, run every stop sign, use my road rage at every possible opportunity, and go at least fifteen miles over the posted speed limit. Just kidding. Ha I am very safe.
I have to wait a year until I can get my license. (Which stinks...) But perhaps it is a good thing, as it seems all the crazy people are out when I drive! There is always an accident or someone taking a curve waayyy too fast. Lovely. The best part of driving school was actually getting to drive! (Duh.) My instructor was extremely patient, which helps a great deal when you are learning something new.
